FACC Florida: Newsletter
Christmas i just around the corner and 2018 is almost wrapped up. At this time of the year we would like to thank all our members, guests and sponsors for your support throughout the year, you are all important to us.
It is the darkest time of the year. In Helsinki, there is only about six hours between the sunrise and sunset at the moment. During this darkness Slush will bring some energy and enthusiasm to the city. Slush is world's leading startup event and it is held Dec 4th and Dec 5th in Helsinki. Slush connects startups & tech talent with top-tier investors, executives and media. The philosophy behind the event is to help the next generation of great, world-conquering companies. Slush is a great example of what enthusiastic and dedicated people can accomplish with a hard work. Slush is a student-driven and non-profit movement and it has grown from a 300-person assembly to a world- renowned event and now it is also spreading globally; it will be organized also in Tokyo, Shanghai and Singapore this year.
Here in South Florida we luckily have a bit more sunshine than in Finland even though it's starting to be a winter here too. The annual FACC Christmas Party is a familiar sign of winter season. This year the party was held on Saturday December 1st at Mystical Mansion. The event was a success and we'd like to thank everyone who attended!
We look forward to see you again next year. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
