OPINION

Happy New Year to our members!

2018 was a great year to the United States and Finland from the economic point of view. The US economic outlook is healthy according to the key economic indicators and it is expected to continue growing steadily over the next few years. In Florida, economy is strong and for example the Florida unemployment rate has constantly decreased and it can be said that Florida leads the nation in job creation.

In Finland, the Minister of Finance Petteri Orpo got excellent news on December when he found out that Finland won’t be forced to take the 2,2 billion loan which was already planned. That means income has been bigger than outlay this year in Finland which makes it possible to repay the government debt first time in ten years.

At FACC, we will start this new year by meeting with the board. Our board members have some great new ideas for the future and we can’t wait to start planning and hosting our first events of the year.

We look forward to offer beneficial events to you, our members! We will keep you posted for

upcoming events on our web site and our Facebook page - stay tuned!

Yours truly,

Esa Jokela

FACC President
