Omani Delegation Explores Finnish Innovation During Slush Week

During Slush week, a high-level delegation from Oman visited Finland to deepen cooperation in innovation, technology, and business development. As part of the visit, the delegation met with members of the Finnish-Arab Business Association to discuss emerging opportunities between the two countries.

The meeting brought forward several forward-looking themes that are shaping both the Finnish and Omani economies. Among the key topics were AI and digitalization, big data and data management, education and talent development, defence technologies, and the creation of innovation-driven ecosystems that support long-term collaboration.

The discussion also highlighted the current landscape of startup financing and support programmes available in both Finland and Oman. Representatives from each side shared insights into funding instruments for early-stage and growth-stage companies, as well as national strategies to attract foreign investment and support global expansion. This exchange offered participants a clearer understanding of how businesses—from startups to established firms—can benefit from cooperation between the two markets.

With Slush providing an inspiring backdrop, the dialogue paved the way for new partnerships and future initiatives aimed at boosting bilateral business activity.
